PACKAGES.txt is the file in which you can find the description of every Slackware package. The descriptions are the same as those who end up in /var/log/packages after you install a package.
You can find this file on any Slackware mirror in the versions root directorie.
This tool wil let you search the PACKAGES.txt of different Slackware version for keywords.
It might come in handy when you are looking for a package, but can not remember its name.
