Scanning e-mail for virusses with ClamAV and Sendmail

On this page you will find Slackware packages to install ClamAV and Sendmail with milter support on your Slackware system.

To use ClamAV as a mailscanner your sendmail wil have to be compiled with milter support. As of V9.1 Slackware does not offer a sendmail package with milter support. On http://wiki.nedlinux.nl/index.php?page=De+Sendmail+Milter+library you will find instructions (in dutch) how to make a sendmail package with milter support.

• Slackware 9.1: clamav-0.86.1-i486-1pkn.tgz

• sendmail-8.12.11-i486-1pkn.tgz

• sendmail-cf-8.12.11-noarch.tgz just to be complete.

If you are upgrading from a pre 0.80 version... the main configuration file has changed. It is now /etc/clamd.conf. Some older option do not longer apply and will break V0.80. Please read and understand /etc/clamd.conf
